Music

The journey began  when  Crispin and Kristin began hiking in the summer of 2020.   The idea of having a space somewhere to bring people together in love and fun and healing  was often chatted about on the trail. We looked in Sedona after hiking canyons and caves.  In June 2022, Crispin decided to  search “Theaters for sale in California” and the  McCloud Dance Hall popped up.  We knew magic when we saw it. Squatters? Not a problem…gonna need a lot of work… we know….  But that dance floor… and the history…. and McCloud…South slope of Mt Shasta… It is an honor to be stewards of Dance  Hall,  Caretakers of this precious piece of McCloud.

 

 Our vision is to repair, upgrade and restore the building slowly, while having it available for  local community events, dance workshops, festivals  and retreats seasonally from May through September.  

 

 Kristin first came to Mt Shasta in 2015 to attend a dance event and has been bringing her two sons as often as she can ever since. Kristin has experienced the magic created on  a dancefloor since the early 90’s.  No matter age, nationality, race, religion, political views, no matter form or level of training, all  are united in the dance. Besides dancing as often as possible she is raising  two teenage boys and  has a massage practice in the Los Angeles area. She was  raised in a multi generational, multicultural small  blue collar village outside of New York City and spent summers on an off - grid island in the long island sound.She has been fortunate to have been brought up surrounded by loving communities.

 

Crispin is a singer and multi instrumentalist who knows the healing power of music and community. Born and raised in the los padres national forrest above Santa Barbara he spent his youth developing his gifts of music, immersed in nature.  He runs an art gallery in Santa Barbara and a music production studio in Santa Monica.
